I've been watching these for a couple of weeks - they are hilarious. The Happy Hospitalist has made some great ones about
hospitalist vs. cardiologist and
hospitalist vs. oncologist. Mom TFH posted a one the other day (definitely the most hysterical - yes pun intended) about an
Ob/Gyn having his golf game interrupted by a patient in labor. Someone finally made one about a pathologist - I found it on the Digital Pathology Blog earlier today.

awesome. I'm not a pathologist but I still laughed out loud.
"I guess I will have to do it because you are not going away." Awesome.
Funny!
Medstudentitis - so sorry for your affliction! Good news is most people get over it in four years.
Watching this was like watching every bad interaction I ever had where I mouthed off in my head being spoken aloud in one mashed-up conversation.
Glad the humor wasn't entirely specialty-driven. I am so very thankful for our wonderful EMR (electronic medical records) these days - I don' t need the surgeon or the radiologist for past medical history.
Kyla - I once had a surgeon standing over me while his patient was in the recovery room pressing me for information on a breast frozen (who freezes breast these days anyway?) because he wanted to make the lady feel better. It was a complex papillary lesion and I wouldn't commit. He kept pressing me - "I don't need to know exactly what it is, I just need to tell her if it is benign or malignant." I was so thankful I didn't cave cause the next day it turned out to be invasive in an area that wasn't on the frozen slide.
LOL! I liked it. Maybe because I am finishing two months in the OR and have seen surgeons who are impatient and/or rude with pathology.
You mean you really keep the cursing to yourself?
I think the surgeons think we sit around all day taking coffee breaks and waiting around for a frozen. When we take over five minutes, they get angry and rude. I have found private practice surgeons, on the whole, to be nicer and less impatient than some of the wondrous egotistic personalities I came across in training. Maybe they weren't so different, it was just more intimidating to me back then.
I am always sticky sweet, no matter what venom I come up against. I can usually calm down the most volatile of situations with empathy and intelligent information. I've usually got them bending over backwards apologizing at the end of the conversation. Well, not always. But most of the time. Yes, I usually keep my cussing to myself. But not so much lately. It slips out every now and again. Must be my life situation.
Haha...love these...check out Anesthesiology vs Ortho ;)
I'll do that! I'll bet it's pretty funny.
The patient is in the recovery room.
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that in the frozen room? I'd be rich.
Assholes.
Having 90% of the lesion end up on the floor of the cryostat never seems to phase these guys, does it?
Nope, sure doesn't.
DC said you were a pathologist - how very cool!
Welcome to you, too.
*snort!*
I just like laughing at surgeons!
