You can listen to Michael talking about high food science applied to fancy foods and drinks here:
How do you hide that and make it pretty? I have no idea, but at least I figured out how to make it a link.
I spent the afternoon listening to Matt's music collection on his ipod and have a gazillion new bands to investigate. I am so excited - I've been getting bored of my music. And we are all happy he and his dog Jeffrey are alive and well after an elephantine creature hydroplaned across three lanes of traffic to hit him head-on and total his car yesterday.
Michael, can you send me some Szechuan buttons please? Considering they are all the rave in NY, they should make their way down here in, oh, ten years or so. I am dying to try one!
Ok - somehow, I cannot get to the link from my blog. Hopefully readers can. If not, just look for the title of this post and npr - you should find it. I am too tired to figure out what I did wrong. The NPR interview is worth it, I promise!
Any technical tips would be appreciated, Michael, when you read this.

I believe you got the link crossed with the name, and the name crossed with the link, when you inserted the link. Switch the two.
You can also just plug this in:
It's Shocking, but you eat it.", which is HTML code.
Well, at least people can get to it from your comment.
I'll just e-mail you my idiotic questions.
Lizze, when you're typing your post, highlight the word or phrase in which you want to embed your link and then go up to the button that looks like a chain or something in the editing tools. That should bring up a box with http:// in it. That's where you paste the link. After you do that, the word or phrase with the embed should be underlined and a different color and it should be clickable to the remote URL.
Thanks Gasper! That was much easier than trying to memorize the code that Michael sent me. I cannot memorize code that makes no sense to me. No offense to him - he doesn't do blogspot so doesn't know the shortcut, but told me there probably was one.
I liken understanding HTML code as my version of not putting telephone numbers in cell phones....
I developed the skill back in the days when that was the only way to put anything at all on the internet.
A little embarassing, but I won a webpage design award for This page, which I designed when I was about 16 and is archived indefinitely at the Internet Archive Wayback Machine (archive.org).
My Baptist wireless is denying me access to that website. What exactly is the content, dear bro? I am worried.
I will try it at home.
nothing shady or marginal - not sure why it is being blocked?
There's no rhyme or reason with the hospital filter. I was too engrossed in my novel (The Watchmen - have you read it?) to open the computer last night but I will try at home this week.
Wow! The Denubian Galaxy. I'm still seeing stars.
Of course, its quite easy to figure out who you really are, from this article! ;)
Never trying to hide who I am, anon@2:04am. Just have fun with alter-ego name online. I have been written up in local medical mags - my real name - linking me to my blog. No one is truly anonymous online, I don't think - dangerous to think you are (don't worry, I am not tech savvy enough or OCD enough to try to find my anon commenters - positive or negative). Thanks for the comment.
